 This Vintage Mexican Silver hinged collar style necklace has the perfect mid 20th century styling with it's almost Maze like design work. Created in Sterling Silver with twelve (12) hinged links that measure approximately 1 1/2 x 3/8 inch each with a total diameter of approximately 15 inches.Signed Taxco-Sterling-925 surrounding a three letter makers mark that appears to be ITA and an Eagle 1 mark. Also partially marked with what looks like LinThe eagle mark was a registration mark assigned to silversmiths to guarantee that their jewelry was a minimum of 925 sterling. This mark was used between 1948 and 1970 until a new stamping act was imposed. |
